SEP Munich, Germany – Marienplatz at 1200! – Day 8 – 12.05.11

Why no Day 7?????

Ok I accidentally mixed the ice cream part with the first day of school, the ice cream should be on Day 7. My apologies ><

And before anything, lets watch this first!

Marienplatz at 1200hrs. Sorry for taking a long long video. Just skip the first 4.5 minutes to save your time! XD

The Marienplatz! Finally a more centered view this time.

This is how the inner side looks like.

Well actually Marienplatz means Maria’s Plaza (I am still not so understand how the –en works). As you see there is some kind of performance on the building there (sorry but iPhone can’t zoom in video mode >< and I compressed the video so the poor quality).

I don’t know what does this called. It’s a real person standing there without moving until you are willing to give him money for him to entertain you.

Next Stop: Viktualienmarkt

IMG_0793

A market. Yea a famous market with tourists.

IMG_0803

The landmark of Viktualienmarkt. Some tour guide said it’s dedicated to Munich.

IMG_0794

Giant pumpkin. At least I haven’t seen a real one before this. (2.90 euro/kg)

IMG_0796

What’s this? Anyone? (2.90 euro/kg)

IMG_0807

Sauce stall. Notice a big basket of small bread cubes at the corner? Yep you are free to use those breads to taste the sauces.

IMG_0816

Another kind of unknown fruit. Anyone helps?

IMG_0820

Thailand Rambutan. (3.50 euro/kg)

IMG_0824

Cheese stall. Guess what’s the green one is?

IMG_0826

It’s Wasabi Cheese!

Next Stop: Karlsplatz

Well nothing special with Karlsplatz other than a shopping area. It’s targeting middle class consumers so somehow I got nothing to buy there.

But I had my good meal of the week!

IMG_0836

Name: Spezialität des Hauses!

Ok I must admit the ingredients are real fresh! The price is somewhat fish-n-co alike but I swear that it’s way more better than what fish-n-co offers. (Disclaimer: Personal opinion. Not to be brought to any commercial mean.)
